2025 Women in Construction Week Feature - Tamatha Miller, ELEA HEALY - Remodelists

Q1: What is your current role?
I am the Co-Founder of ELEA HEALY - Remodelists. Outside of being an Owner, my main role is the Pipeline Director. I create and maintain systems to make sure projects run smoothly. I also create all of our design and production schedules to set the team up for success!
Q2: What do you enjoy the most about being a woman in the construction industry?
Many roles involved in the construction industry are very male dominated. I am interested in creating welcome spaces for women in roles such as Project Management, Carpentry, Engineering, Specialty Trades, and more through celebrating our unique strengths and ability to choose the path less chosen. Through these efforts and those of like-minded Remodelists, this balance is shifting.
Q3: How did you end up in the industry?
The construction industry found me - any industry crying out for change seeks its change makers. I hope to continue to be just that for this industry which I love so much. Fortunately, my skillsets perfectly align with what this industry has been in need of for quite some time, such as emotional maturity, strong but kind leadership, and intentional inclusivity.
Q4: What advice would you give other women thinking about joining the construction industry?
Design is not the only space for women in this industry. I am seeing more and more woman utilize their skillsets in a variety of ways, and it is making the construction industry a better space. If it’s calling to you - do it! Be a part of this exciting shift. Be a change maker!
