1.) How did you get started in the industry?
Growing up my Dad worked for Guyer’s selling cabinets & appliances. I loved going to work with him as a kid and play with his drafting tools, so naturally I followed in his footsteps and earned a degree in Interior Design. I found my passion on the product sales/project management side of the industry and have been happily selling in this industry for over 20 years. 

2.) What value do women bring to the industry?
Women in this industry are extremely hard working and do whatever it takes to get the job done right.  We bring a different perspective to the home design and building process beyond function. We can relate to the homeowners looking to find organization and functionality within their spaces, while selecting awesome finishes and keeping within a budget.  

3.)What would you say to young girls/women thinking about a career in the industry?
There are so many avenues to work within this fun, fast paced industry.  If you are looking for a career that will give you something different every day, you will not get bored with construction.  This is an industry where you truly can gain some skills, and then let the positions you take help shape your own future.  So many people are willing to help you along the way if you decide to start your own business as well.
